On 18 October, Whitehorse City Council held its annual Spring Festival in Nunawading. The grounds filled with multicultural groups and local residents, alive with music, laughter and the energy of spring. Close to ten members of Buddha’s Light Youth Melbourne Chapter 3, led by their chapter president He Peixin, took an active part, sharing the Humanistic Buddhist ideals of the Three Acts of Goodness and the Four Givings through lively, thoughtful activities. Around 350 community members and families from many cultural backgrounds stopped by to take part.
The stall was built around two themes: a “Four Givings” table-tennis game and “Three Acts of Goodness” lotus origami.
At the origami table, volunteers patiently guided visitors through each fold of a paper lotus. As they worked, they shared the Three Acts of Goodness taught by Venerable Master Hsing Yun — do good deeds, speak good words, think good thoughts — so that the pleasure of making something by hand came with a taste of its quiet wisdom. Over the course of the day, volunteers and visitors together made and gave away more than 100 paper lotus flowers, carrying auspicious wishes into homes across the community and quietly planting seeds of kindness.
Venerable You Hong of Er You Temple also came to the stall to encourage the volunteers, and exchanged views with the festival organisers on supporting community activities. The Spring Festival drew to a close in an atmosphere of joy and gratitude, with BLIA members and Buddha’s Light Youth going out into the community in good spirits, forming good affinities with all who came, and letting the warmth of the Three Acts of Goodness and the Four Givings spread through the neighbourhood.
墨爾本白馬市春季嘉年華 佛光青年寓教於樂傳遞三好四給

10月18日，澳洲白馬市政府（Whitehorse City Council）於紐納瓦丁（Nunawading）盛大舉辦一年一度的春季嘉年華（Spring Festival）。活動現場匯聚了眾多多元文化團體與社區居民，歡歌笑語，洋溢著春日的勃勃生機。墨爾本佛光青年3團近10位青年在團長何佩昕的帶領下積極參與其中，通過充滿智慧與活力的互動環節，向當地大眾傳遞人間佛教「三好」與「四給」理念，吸引了約350位不同文化背景的社區民眾與親子家庭前來交流體驗。
此次攤位特別規劃了「四給乒乓球」趣味遊戲與「三好蓮花摺紙」兩大主題板塊。在蓮花摺紙體驗區，義工們耐心地一步步教導前來參與的民眾動手折製紙蓮花。義工們巧妙地向大眾宣揚星雲大師倡導的「做好事、說好話、存好心」三好精神，讓大家在體驗手作樂趣的同時，深刻體會清淨美好的智慧。整場活動中，義工與民眾共同合力製作並送出100餘朵精緻的紙蓮花，不僅將吉祥美好的祝福帶入各個家庭，更讓善的種子在眾人心中悄然萌芽。
尔有寺有宏法師亦到現場關心，並與主辦單位負責人就社區活動推動交換意見。本次春季嘉年華在歡喜與感恩中圓滿落幕，佛光會員與佛光青年以歡喜心走入社區，與廣大大眾廣結善緣，讓「三好四給」的溫情吹拂社區，共同構建和樂融融的社會氛圍。
